Plumber,

I bought my truck up at Toyota of Nashua and also am awaiting some time to break free to get the Supercharger. Got TRD Limited Slip, TRD Headers, and the TRD Duals on my 2000 Tundra (and have managed to put only 15000 miles on the truck in 2 years)... Wondering what Rob Sullivan charged you for the Supercharger and install. Haven't talked to him yet but was one of the guys on a waiting list for the thing.... Thanks,

I hope that 1st and 2nd gear don't burn out on ya, especially if the tranny seems like it's slamming into the next gear when it finally decides to. Not a good sign, your tranny might die on you sooner than it's suppose to.

With that much gas consumption, you should be putting away a few camaros and firebirds. Still not sure if you'll have a chance against the ford lightning.

It's very tempting to get all that power, but I just don't think the trans will take it over time. I'm still to busy trying to get my brakes to work smooth before I make it any faster.

I would like to see the gas consumption comparison. 9 four hole injectors, wow, that's some gas, and premium on top of it. Lets hope that gas prices stay low as they were 2.79 a gallon here in chicago a couple summers ago.

2DaMax,

I don't think it will take a lightning eigther, as toyota does not put the biggest motor in the smallest regular cab 2wd truck like ford does. Also the lightning has bigger fuel injectors, not an extra one and has a super duty trans to hold the power.

Good luck to all with the charger. Have fun

Later,

BB

This is second hand info but it may be worth save a few pulled hairs.

Default I touched the V-8 S/C!

I just dropped by my local Toyota dealer's parts dept to pick up some touch up paint and there it was on a shelf by the front door... the V-8 Super/Charger! No fancy display, no armed guards, no fanfair.

I guess they would have sold it to me right then and there if I had the cash. If you are looking for one I can point you to that dealership although I don't recommend these guys install it. They are the one's who told me the V-8 headers don't exist. I also didn't buy my Tundra from them since their sales manager was the typical sleazy salesman.

Here's what really concerns me about letting a Toyota dealer install the s/c. If they cannot fix simple issues like warping rotors or even properly balancing tires, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations when they come in with a complaint about their vehicles......what the hell are they doing installing superchargers? Oh I get it...they are all book-mechanics....or most of them are. Oh boy....more headaches!

I was talking to a gear-head buddy of mine last night and we started talking about turbos. It's ok to dream up other dreams right?
