If you just installed the headers and it's only been a few days, wait a few hundred miles/few tank fills while the ECU relearns. Over the next ~2 weeks you oughta see much more of an improvement. User feedback and other details are under the JBA Header Group Buy - Who's interested?
Seee-ya,
Jim.

Do you know if the JBA headers end in the same place as the 2 flanges from the stock y pipe bolt on? Reason I need to know is cause I installed a true dual system from that point back, and replaced my factory y pipe with a H crossover. so I need to know if its a direct bolt on or not.

The JBA's end before the cats, and the stock y pipe bolts on after the cats. You'll be in the clear. There is not cutting or welding involved with the JBA's, which is why I like them. They are a direct replacement for your manifolds.

Hey r80255,
Did they really install them for $150.00 ? I've been quoted anywhere from $300.00-$400.00 for the JBA install. How did the truck look after the install ? Any dings or scratches or missing pieces ? Thanks. JB
I just got my JBA headers from UPS. My dealer wants $725 to install them, says replacing the manifolds takes 10 hours on a 4x4. He is using the old "non-Toyota install will void your warranty" line.
There are other reputable shops that will do it for $62.50 an hour, and another that will do it for a fixed amount (I haven't gotten their quote yet as they wanted to see the pipes first).
What are your opinions on the warranty issue. My regular mechanic (local mom & pop that, incidentally, I haven't visited since owning my Toyota van or new Truck) said that he won't touch headers because they always end up with leaks.
I am very nervous about this whole thing now.

-jba will NOT void your warranty- they are overcharging you, i can refer you to a place called speedvision in glendale ca theyre great you they can do it for around 300, or even less, just tell em vacho reffered you
Ask your dealer which portion of the warranty it will void. i.e. Surely they don't mean the entire 3 year/36K bumper-to-bumper warranty is void simply because you installed headers. If it's just the exhaust system, then I wouldn't worry about it.
The JBA headers are very well built and are also covered by their own warranty. (However, wouldn't be a PITA to take them off and turn them in for warranty repair or replacement?)
Note that other members have had their stock exhaust manifolds crack. So, there is a likely hood this could happen to you after your factory warranty expires, in which case you'd be out a few bucks anyway.
IMO, the performance gained from adding the headers far out-weighs any warranty concerns. e.g. My Tundra is an '02 with 15k miles on it and I'm not worried about taking my truck back to the dealer for any warranty work.
Hope this helps...
Seee-ya!
Jim.

I was referring to the Toyota factory warranty, but thanks. I am in Houston, or I would take you up on that referral.

They said the exhaust system, but that if I had a blow-by, it would void anything in the engine it affected. What are the chances of that?
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your reply.
I assume by the term "blow-by" they mean unsealed/untightened exhaust manifolds and the possible damage to other components as a result. If so, I'd say the chances are "slim to none" *IF* you have the install shop tighten all the header nuts after about 3000 miles/your next oil change. Note that if you had "blow-by" you'd hear it and would know what the problem is...
See my JBA Installation Tips in my sig for additional details.
Seee-ya,
Jim.
