My gas was so low one day that the low fuel light was on. I filled the tank and the light stayed on. It now is always on and won't go off. Has anyone seen this before?

Might try a big bump or two and see if that helps.
Seriously, it sounds like a stuck float on your sending unit. Not sure how you could easily fix it.

If the gas guage read full after you filled it up I don't think it could be a stuck float. If you don't have warranty and want to check it out yourself I would disconnect the negative cable on the battery, wait several minutes and reconnect it. If that doesn't work wait until the guage shows empty and refill the tank one more time and see what happens. You might also want to check and see if there is a blown fuse the the fuse box.
Haven't seen this, but it raises a question I have...When does the light come on for the rest of you? I recently thought my tank was going dry and no light..guage read dead on E, no light. So I filled it and it only took 21 gallons. The light has worked before. Any insight?Originally posted by jm12075

Thanks
My warning light comes on with around 4 gallons left; seems to be the norm.
I did have an occurrence recently where I watched in horror at a stoplight, while my fuel gauge needle sank to almost empty, right before my eyes. My tank was about full and the truck was running fine. Within a few blocks it popped back up to the correct level and I’ve had no problems since. So jm12075, you are not alone concerning strange goings on in your tank.
Stay shiny,
