Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Fast Idle Adjustment?", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Well, my dealer says you can not readily adjust the fast idle without messing up the normal idle. He says the fast idle is basically set by the computer? I've learned in the past not to believe everything these dealers say? Whats the scoop? Thanks, Coal Miner.
If you are referring to the idle when you first start it until it warms up, it is supposed to be a normal situation for these V6s is my understanding. Mine does it too.
