Default JBA Header Install whoas

UPS brought the headers Friday so Sunday I decided to make a day of the install. Started at 9:30 in the morning by taking the wheels off and the rubber mud guard/access covers. Took off both heat shields and soaked all the bolts with PB Blaster (90,000 mile Tundra). Since I've read that the drivers side was the hardest I started there so once it was done it would be all down hill. I got the cat off and out of the way... no problem. Top four stud bolts all broke loose no problem. Tool run to get a shallow deep 14mm socket to use with my swivel to get the two center lowers which worked great except for one problem, One of the studs back out. I'm thinking no big deal just run it back in, but it was very tight feeling and didn't seem right. I took it all the way out and with it came some of the threads. ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't be in a worse place to have to try and hele coil it. Only the very first threads came out so several tool runs to find a 10mm x 1.25 tap turned up nothing, which might be able to clean up what threads are left and give me something to work with. A friend owns the tap I need so I got it today when I saw him at work... we'll see how this goes tonight.

Passenger side was next since I couldn't finish the driver side. No problems. On and off in an hour, all torqued and ready to go.

Cliff Notes:
Ugly to get to stud bolts on drivers side lower middle pulled out some threads and now I'm FUBAR!

Congrats on the purchase of the JBA's (The wife still says no to mods over 150 ). On a brighter note-you've shared great information with the site thru your misfortune, and being the optimist that I am-you've got performance and looks, and not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Great Job.

Thanks for the support . The hole tapped out great and so far is holding torque just fine. The job is all done and I'm very pleased with the headers so far.

My manifolds were cracked and apparently the passenger side manifold was leaking between the manifold and gasket. I chose to buy headers (of coarse ) instead of new, uncracked, manifolds.
