Default Extrude Hone or Port and Polish

Anyone know which is better for the upper intake manifold. Also how much this cost.

When I had my old 65 Mustang I had the heads Extrude Honed along with the intake manifold. The results were amazing but it set me back ~$600 at that time. Port and Polishing is something you can do yourself but you wont get the smoothness that the extrusion paste will give you.

Actually it is if you're going to supe up your motor for racing. When I had my 'stang it yielded around 650Bhp and the power honing helped out a lot. Of course I went all out on mine as it was a ralley/street car. I don't know what the ultimate goal of 03TundraTRD's truck is but if it's for normal dirving or a street tweak you maybe better of with the p&p. I don't know much about the Tundra's yet to know if that's even a good mod to do or necessary. But on my old hi-po 390 block extrude power honing opened my motor up. My two pennies.

It's explained here. Ten years ago there were only a few who did it but now I guess there are plenty of people who do it. Like I said it's mainly for people who want to go all out on their motors like I did for my Rally Mustang. For everyday drivers it's hard to justify the $500+ process.
