Default K/N intake

after installing throttle spacer I found out that the air tube from K/N was too long and touching radiator shroud.I contacted a K/N tech. and he said that they are made for application (correct) length and should not be cut. any ideas? and any comparisons with other air systems.

Do like I did and get rid of the piece of crap. I lost alot of bottom end and made nothing but noise. Throttle body spacers do nothing but make whistling sounds under acceleration. If you want to make a difference in your truck, put on a spintech muffler and headers. Leave everything else alone because it just doesn't work on these trucks.
