Anyone wanna direct John or Rick to TS? It'd be fun to have them posting here.

if you are speaking about mike from tsp in houston than yes, Otherwise disregard.I think this is the original turbo design on his tundra a couple years ago. I got my kit from him but it was drop shipped from utah. I installed it though. I'll post pics tonight. I will soon post dyno sheets. Sts is also going to put my truck on their site soon as i get them picturs

Default What a suck

Due to monetary constraints, and the fact that I will be jobless in a month (contract with the CG runs out and I will not be re-enlisting) and I did not get the job I had hoped for, I had to cancell my order for the turbo system. John at STS was understanding, and I will still keep this in mind when I become employed again. I will still be going to the dyno run though V8toilet.

Ya dude, Coast Guard. Was going to use my investment account to pay for turbo, but the bills are really starting to roll in because we have twins, and I have a feeling I'm going to need that little nest egg sooner than I thought. I'm confident I'll find something, I just wanted to be fair to STS and let them know it was going to be longer than expected.

Thanks man

Sorry to hear about that, Ron. I would have loved to hear more from you about this turbo kit, but I'm impressed & completely agree that you're making the right decision with the new twins at home. Good luck with the job hunting and hang in there.

What electronics come with the kit, and what kind of maf sensor are you using.
From what I understand is that stock Tundra's maf cannot read boosted air. On a S/C engine the air is read befor it is boosted. Also how are you getting oil to the Turbo.

Looks like the stock MAF. Oil feed comes from the oil pressure warning sender, they tee it. Oil from the turbo is scavenged with an electric pump (something like a Tilton differential pump). I can't see where the return goes to though.
So where's the photos Maracucho?

Default balls to the wall

hasnt anyone else thought of this or maybe im missing somthing...
why not use both..... TRD S/C and the turbo system ? im not sure how the turbo is plumbed up but would this not bolt up ? Talk about a fast Tundra.
i have seen s/c turbo diesel engines in early monster truck race events although i have never seen it done on gas engines. Any crazy Tundra owners with much bank willing to go balls to the wall ?

Someone had a compound system in the first-gen MR2s,I believe it was the HKS Twincharger system.
It sounds feasible on a Tundra. You'll have to fab up some type of clutch system on the SC's drive pulley (hint,Mercedes does it) so it "freewheels" onces the turbo has spooled up. I wonder though if the blower's impellers would cause a decent amount of restriction.

Eddie- What do you mean Mercedes does it? Do you mean the supercharger pulley is electronically controlled, or that once it reaches a certain rpm the pulley freewheels? Dont get me wrong just trying to understand the info. Also what year mercedes?

Default hey peoples

Well I have been working like a mad man lately but I have done some more mods to the truck . I added an inline fuel pump from msd fuel systems, a top secret performance fuel pressure regulator and guages. I also set up the new gtech competition pro to the truck to see if i can get numbers close to the dyno numbers and i must say the figures on this new gtech is very very close.

I AM addding a spearco front mount intercooler and a methenol injection system from sds so i can run 15 psi. I had mike in houston beefup the transmission with the ecu- blaster tool (very expensive to own , but mike just uses it he does not sell it) I paid 400 bucks for a new ecu flash and transmission shifft point calibration for high rev shifting , and a 2000 rpm studder stall for hard lauches if i like, I have a switch that turns this feature on. ( same thing as a stall converter but done electronically). so far on the dyno I have produced on 10 psi and the mods is 453.6 hp @ 3980 rpm
and 503.2 TQ @3440 rpm. I plan on changing my intake manifold to a TRD/TSP new design very similar to the Scranton brothers 4.7 celica. the TB is located on a 90degree elbow comming from the center of the intake and it has injector bosses fo
