Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Dual Exhaust - again", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I've about decided to go dual exhaust. Those of you that have the dual Bassani system, dual in/dual out:
Any low end performance loss?
Any drone noise in cabin?
Any gas mileage change?
Drove from Florida to PA - 2800 miles. Alternated dropping tail gate each fill up. After 6 fill ups, the difference in gas mileage was nothing. 18.9 mpg either way.
Cruise control set to 70 mph. No surprise.
Any low end performance loss? Yes
Any drone noise in cabin? Yes
Any gas mileage change? Yes, simply cause it sounds cool and you are on the gas more often!

Low end loss is very minimal, you will notice an increase in the high-end though. There will be drone in the cabin but nothing you can't get used to, your truck will sound like a V-8 should etc.. My system is over 2 years old and it doesn't seem as loud as when I first installed it. I do get better gas mileage with this system also. Very nice system!

just got mine on today, so far so good. No low end loss at least not noticable. Lots of noise (took the silencer out of the tips) can't tell milage for another week or two!

I have bassani single in dual out and notice just about no low end torque loss. There is also a noticeable surge of power in the top end.
