Default Tundra Transmission Fluid Level

Have read the 'garage' How To on checking fluid level and noted the instruction to do this when ATF is at normal driving temperature of 158 - 176 degrees F. Well I'm not going to come close right now where I am until I either hook up the rig or wait until things get much warmer. Reading 122F (in the pan) when I checked ATF level today and it measured right on the top of the 'hot' mark. Do you figure I'm ok down the road when I do see considerably higher transmission temps or do I need to lose some fluid? Thanks, Dave

Your good. Your 2000 Tundra has a tranny oil cooler and the oil stays surprisingly cool. Flush with a synthetic, it's even cooler!

And you're real fast with your response Stooge. Yup, good point re the synthetic. I've got it front to back. Ciao, Dave.
