Default Chain a Tundra and an F150 together...

I have a V6 auto regcab Tundra 4x2. My brother has a V6 extcab auto F150 4x2. His 4.2L puts out 202 hp and 252 torque. My 3.4L truck puts out 190 hp and 220 torque. Those are just the stock ratings from the websites, not dyno runs. He is rated to tow 5500 with a 3.55 rear diff and I am rated at 5000 with ??? rear diff. Knowing that toyotas dont lose as much hp through the drive train as fords do, would I be able to take the F150 if we chained the rear bumpers together in a tug of war? I dont think we'll actually do this, since the chain might break and links will fly everywhere at 200 mph. I have a feeling he could take me though. That torque rating of 252 has me worried. What do you guys think?

i dunno, try it with a nylon tow strap .

(i did not say that, and wouldn't advocate that sort of thing in reality)

Get all season tires with the least amount of siping and make sure your hitch or whatever your tieing it to is higher than his for traction sake. If his point of tie is lower when you guys pull and the rope tightens up, his will lift slightly decreasing traction and yours will lower slightly putting more weight on the wheels for more traction. Have fun but be careful and fare.

Why more? Siping is good for wet or snowy conditions. On dry ground you want most contact, siping reduces that contact to the edges of the sipes.

I have a nylon tow strap. I could hook it to the safety chain hoops on my hitch. I towed my other brother around in the tercel this way. The F150 doesnt have a hitch, so we'd have to put a ball on the bumper and hook it on there. I suppose I could pull his bumper off though. We probably wont ever do this since we dont want to mess up our trucks, but I just wonder who would win.
