thanks for the info jose. i was about to ask how much fluid to buy! the dealer is only charging $78 for the flush, which is cool because midas wanted $130, but the fluid is $5 a quart, that's $70, ouch. too bad i can't buy a bucket of it like our company does with the mobil 1 gear lube.

I bought 14 qts of Mobil 1 synthetic and took it to my local Toyota Dealer to have it Flushed for $90.00 dollars. I don`t think they make it in
5qt jugs.

i was about to reply to the thread found near the bottom of this forum, but it's closed, how stupid is that? so now i have to re-start the topic so we can discuss it further (whoever closed it - we weren't finished!) anyways...

no, it shifts the same regardless of the temperature. it's always shifted hard when going to 3rd, i don't know why. there used to be a 4 second delay between when i moved the shift lever and when it went into gear whenever i put it in reverse, but the dealer fixed that somehow. the transmission is working ok, but i would like smoother shifts, so i'm going to have it flushed.
