Default trd air cleaner

do u guys think its worth spendin the extra money for the trd air cleaner, rather than goin for the k&n. i have heard that oil from the k&n can cause a problem with a air flow sensor. just wondering whats the best way to go. thanx

The TRD is the same as the K&N. The only problem with the oil for any of those types of filters is when the filter is over-oiled (generally by the user after cleaning) Otherwise there's no problem with using an oiled gauze type filter.

There was a test done on TS about the various air-filters, with the stock toyota paper filter working the best. The link is around here somewhere...I'll try to find it.

edit: here's the link Tundra Air Filter Test

Maybe the same type, but not the same filter.
