Default Air box mod-did I miss sumthin?

I had a Tacoma 4x4 with the 3.4L V6, that I did the airbox deckplate mod to. I also opened up the exhaust at the same time. The combination of the two, in my opinion improved "seat of the pants" dyno test.

So now, I'm a proud Tundra owner and am exploring upgrades. argh argh argh
I've read most all of the past posts about airbox mod's. I didn't catch anywhere, the recommendation of removing the main f/i fuse so the computer will reset to accomodate the increased air flow.

Did I miss something?

What most have done was remove the negative battery for about 30 mins and that did the trick.
