Default 12,500 miles, what do I look out for?

Okay gang. I just hit 12,500 miles on my reg cab v6 2003 tundra. I purchased a 60k warrantee and want to know if there is anything that I should look out for from a maintenance standpoint. I want this truck to last forever.

I changed the rear diff to mobil 1 and only run mobil 1 oil and filter every 3,000.

This is all I have done and all I intend to do unless you guys yell at me and tell me I should be doing something else.

My bigger concern is that I will miss the boat on a warrantee thing and end up eating the cost later.

    Advice?

Stick to your recomended maintenance schedule, use OEM filters and flush your radiator as required you should be fine.
Check and see if your truck has any TSB's and make sure you run only high quality, name brand fuel.

Keep us posted as you go.

You've got the same truck I do, or just about. I dont think we have much to worry about with '03's. Just drive and enjoy. I dont even use syn and I think this truck will last a long arse time. You purchased a 60K bumper to bumper warranty? Powertrain comes with 60K warr. from the factory...

    Cool

I'll hit 132K tomorrow; expect to get 500K+ w/routine maintenance:
6 months OR 5-7K: Change engine oil, I use Mobil 1
2 years or 50K: Replace Brake fluid and flush radiator
    4 years: R/R Battery
50K: Replace Differential Oil and Transmission. Again, I recommend Mobil 1
50-60K: Tires; now on 3rd set
    75K-100K: Plugs
90-110K: Change ALL belts, hoses, fuel filter and R/R water pump.

This schedule has worked for many years on a number of high mileage cars and trucks I've worn out or, in the case of Toyotas, finally grew tired of.
