I'm with you fellas, I lived with that sqeaking for about a month (at about 26,900k) then took it to the dealer. Funny thing is that it only did it in the morning or stone cold, so when I drove the 8 miles to the dealer it had warmed up and when I got there, no noise. The service guy said we can't fix it if we can't hear it.

They did some other little stuff and it had a chance to cool. When they brought it out to me, it was a squealn'. Kind of a hassle because they didn't have the belt in stock, but it all worked out. NO MORE NOISE!

Same thing happened with mine. After two unsuccessful tensioner adjustments, replacement of the belt (under warranty) fixed the problem.

My belts make all sorts of racket if I park the truck outside and it rains. I am looking for a solution too!

Over the past couple of weeks I've been having a problem that if I start the truck if it hasn't been on for awhile, the engine will start to squeak and squeal. It sounds like its coming from the belts. Have any of you had this problem before? Any ideas?

Thanks!
Dave
