Default trans temp sensor inline fittings

I have decided to get some autometer gauges for boost and trans temp. I believe the z series mechanical boost and electric trans temp. I have been reading numerous posts in here about the trans temp gauges and think that the electrical will be just fine but have some questions on the T fittings. Through Summit Racing I can get the inline adaptor but it lists 2 different O.D. hose fittings, 3/8 and 5/16, which size do I need? or is there a better way to adapt a sensor inline? I will be tapping in before the trans cooler that I will install at the same time.
I assume that I'll need to use some adaptors for the boost gauge also, which I will attempt to pick up from local parts stores as I get ready to do the install.
Still undecided on final mounting locations, but leaning away from pillar mounted to keep from advertizing the SC.

If I understand your question correctly, you will need to first determine the hose size needed from the cooler that you will be using, then use the same fitting size. I’m not positive, but I believe the z series has included 2 fittings, (3/8 and ½). As much as I like Summit Racing, my preference is to go to a speed and marine shop and look at what is in the box. With any luck, you may have a shop closer than Sacramento.

I’m most interested in what type gauge pod you will be using. Let us know. Thanks

Thanks, you kind of jogged my brain on that one. Think I was making it harder than it needed to be. I will just mount it inline of the new rubber line to the cooler.
I ordered two of the mounting cups with those gauges and will attempt to use those to mount these gauges under the dash to the left of the ashtray area, kind of one above the other where I can see them past the steering wheel. I think I can make that work and be plenty visible driving but still down out of plain sight. I'll try them out when they get here and post some pics with them installed.

I did just upload a couple pics of my gauges installed. Mounted with autometer's mounting cups. For me the location worked really well, hard to see from outside the truck and plenty visible driving.
