Default Dual Exhaust On the Sequoia?

Is it possible to have a Muffler shop customize a Dual Exhaust for the Sequoia?
(a dual exh, Single muffler)
If so, whould it change the ULEV?
I am not sure if I can wait for TRD to come out with one.

Sanchez,

a custom muffler shop can pretty much do anything you want. a dual exit is definitely possible. were you planning on going for the rear exits or the sides? i was also thinking about going the custom route w/ rear exits, but not sure yet. i really like the TRD exhaust though, would be even better if they did a dual exit! keep us posted on what you find out.

dang, i didn't realize that the Sequoia was considered ULEV until your post. it's toyota's first truck that is certified as ULEV!

I was planning on dual Rear Exits!
I am going to check out my muffler shop to see what they would charge me?
My biggest worries are
1. will it stay ULEV
and
2. How will they get around that Spare Tire (how will they hang the muffler pipe)?
I will let you know what I find out..

You can order a dual exhaust from borla. It is also offered by southeast toyota on new builds. PM me and I will send you a picture of the sequoia. I don't think the ULEV status will change unless you run 93 in your truck. Ryan

Ryan,

i'd love to see it! can you send it to me or post a pic please. i didn't know that Borla made a dual exhaust already. thanks!

Sanchez,

yeah, i was thinking about the same thing. i suppose that there would be more hangers on the left side and they would either mickey mouse a bracket somewhere. my brother and a few of my buddies have custom dual exhaust on their SUVs and that's what they did.

Chris

Ryan,

just peeped out the pic! thanks again! the only thing is it's a side exit. do you know if they are going to come out w/ a rear exit? i'm surprised that Borla's website doesn't have pix. i noticed on the website though that Borla is making a lot of dual exhausts for SUVs that are side exits. wish they would make it rear, i bet it's because of the spare. again thanks!

I would believe that you could use both systems on the seq. I would call and ask borla. I have the split side exit on my Tun. I would then order it from summitracing.com. Borla will want at least $799 for the system.

Where did you find this Pic? This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for and thinking of!
I think it's nice set-up, whether it be a dual side or rear exit.
Do you happen to know the part number for the Seq?
I can't find anything about the Borla dual exhaust anywhere.

So, that gets me to a MSN.communities page that I can't get into???

I'm going in tomorrow to get an estimate on a custom stainless system for my Sequoia. My Bro-In-Law had this guy do a dual system for his F-150 and it is REALLY nice... Stainless Magnaflows and an x-pipe...

I'll let you know what he says about cost...

Unless I missed something in this thread, I think I just read Chris mentioning that he wished Borla had pic of Seq with rear exit exhaust. The following link shows a pic of Seq with single rear exit..part#14958...you'll have to scroll down the page (it's long) to see the Seq:
http://www.borla.com/new.products/?c...3665.71.25.142

I just rec'd my Borla's this evening via FedEx from Summit . Price was $534 for dual split-side exit for Tundra.
