Default Air filters and quick throttle response

I figured i shouldnt blow 3oo bucks on an entire new intake if im gonna lose low end power, but i was wonderin if i just bought a new air filter, say TRD, if it would help any. I also am lookin for good throttle response, I've got TRD duals, but i need more power. Any advice?

I've used all three... K+N, TRD, and Paper. If there's a difference, it is minimal. I actually "feel" like I get better low end with the stock paper filter than with either of the others. Mileage is the same.

Sold my K+N, but I have my used TRD filter if you want to give it a try.

Use the OEM air filter, and clean your throttle body. Now for controversy, I like the Bosch Platinum +4s. Less controversial, pull a plug and inspect it. My original plugs were fouled at 700 miles, I went with the +4s and I'm over 30,000 with no problems.

The TRD dual exhaust is the source of loss of power at lower RPM.....kinda sucks. I have read many comments from other members who said that anyway. Get in on Unichip if you can.

It optimizes your air fuel ratio and ignition timing to make your engine produce more usable power. You install it yourself by plugging in a harness behind the glove box. Check the site for the Unichip threads that will give you more details.
