Default Limited slip diff with 15" spare tire

I'm running 20" wheels on my truck. If I got a flat tire could I use the 15" spare tire on the rear sidewith a limited slip diff? Or do I have to run the 15 up front to prevent dammage to the drivetrain.

If your outer diameter is the same on the two tires, then you are straight. Otherwise, the spare with the smaller outer diameter has to go up front.

I'd consider your spare a limp along. Even if the outer dia is the same, with the differing wheel dia, the weight distribution may not be the same.

You should consider getting a 5th as a spare, then you have an extra tire to use when you rotate the tires, or for emergency use

No my truck came with the old school 15" alloys. I haven't checked the spare yet, I'm assuming its also 15". I know its a steel wheel.

15" wheels don't fit any of the tundra models. All models(00-03) came with 16". 04 models come with 17" and definitely not 15".

I don't think you'll damage the drivetrain, although while running different size tires on the axle with the LSD you will wear the clutch packs excessively. Consider it as the other member said a 'limp along' but if you can get a full size spare (outer diameter) do it. It doesn't have to be the same tire, in fact--you can go with a cheapie for the spare if necessary. If the outer diamter of your wheels is 31" for example, get a 31" spare.
