Default Baldwin oil and air filters?

Is anyone currently using, or have used in the past, Baldwin oil or air filters on your tundra? They got reasonably good reviews in an online oil filter study, great marks on construction, above average on flow and filtering. Scored better in that test (www.oilfilterstudy.com) than the Purolator Pure One, which is what I have on it now, and I can get the Baldwin's for less unless the Purolator is on sale.

Also, if you are using the Baldwin, are you using the one sized for the Tundra, or have you tried the oversized one? Looks like their model B2 is the same as the purolator PL30001 that I am using now.

Thanks for the opinions.

Ron

Baldwin is a very well trusted filter in industry and heavy equipment. Baldwin is owned by Clarcor which also makes the identical Hastings filters. They also make the Amsoil filters, but Baldwin won't say what is different about the filters they label for Amsoil, and Amsoil just says, "trust us," and displays non-industry standard testing.

I feel that Baldwin is top quality construction and average filtration--I got this filtration info directly from a Baldwin tech rep. I think the Purolator Premium is equal filtering and the Pure One is better filtration. I agree that the stock filters seem small, but they filter fine for the life of the oil--I haven't seen any evidence that the small filters are inadequate, just guesswork. Oversized filters often have different characteristics and we do not know if they meet all the engine designers requirements.
