Default "Squeal" from LSD rear? '02 Tundra

Hi, brand new to the forums and I love it so far. I changed the fluid in my Tundra's LSD this weekend. It has 20k miles and I changed from the OEM fluid to Mobil 1 synthetic 75W-90. I used a pump to drain all the fluid and then filled with 3.5qts of Mobil 1. Now the LSD makes a medium-pitch squeal in sharp turns. Kinda sounds like a bad power steering pump or slipping belt, except it definitely comes from the rear. Did I put too much or too little? Do I need a friction modifier? Never heard it before and just wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Thanks

Rob

Yes you need to add LSD additive. The factory stuff should have been Equa-Torque. But I think you could use whatever Napa has or order some redline off the web. I dont think it will do any harm other than squealing until you put the additive in.

Smile Thanks!

I'm such a dummy. Did a "search" on the forums and found about a million threads about rear diffs. Went to autozone, got a bottle of Trans-X fluid for LSD, put it in, did some donuts around the parking lot and the sound went away. Thanks guys
