Default removal of bassani packing in tips??

I just installed a Bassani exhaust cat back system..duals with the x pipe..i thought it would be alot louder than it is based on keiphers videos of it..i assume that mine is just because there is a little break in period with it..currently there is a rancid smell and light smoke coming out of the pipes after running them or revving them..i figure this is just from burning of the new glass packing inside..

anyways..if i want to..i would like to know how to take out the little glass pack baffles in the tips of the muffler..there is a little bolt on the bottom of the tip that lets you take out the baffle, but i tried pulling it out and it wouldn't budge..has anyone tried? thanks.
