Question A/T V6 Gearing question?

I was trying to find info on the site for what ratio and size gears are in my v6 tundra, many poeple stated that the gearing was 4.10.

But on this site http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html with the chat provided at the bottom of the page it would appear that my truck has:

A= 8" size gears
02= 3.58
A= 2 pinion open dif.

yet another
http://www.toysport.com/Technical%20...ifications.htm
claims:

A= 138mm
02= 3.36
A= nothing designated for a letter in the thrid digit. I know it's not an LSD so I think the other site is right about the diff. type

So which is it does anybody now for sure?

When I get 33's I am definately going to re-gear.

Thanx- 4cloud9

Mr Parrot: If I were to install the 4.30s into my 2000 4WD V8, would I be able to use the driven speedo gear from the V6 to keep my speedo reading correctly? Thanks.

Thanx nhparrot,

That is the answer to the question I was looking for.
So in my auto I have 4.08 ratio which is close enough to call it 4.10.

Thanx alot for your help and your knowledge, once again you come through with the answer.

If your going to go to 33's for tires, i would suggest 4.56's for gears.The 4.30 is not enough gear to bring back the torque yur going to lose with the big tires. The speedo will be off, and the V-6 gear wont fix it. Nobody makes a gear to fix this, it has to be done electronically.You have to get speedo recalibrator here are some other forums for more answers 285's

Victor,
Thanks for the feedback. I was considering it with 275/70-16s to get a little more torque with the possibility of having a simple speedometer correction solution. The project would be mostly for my own entertainment as opposed to looking for big torque gains.

Regards,
Marty
