I emailed TRD around 8 weeks ago and they there were no plans to produce a supercharger for the new V6. I find that response strange since Toyota mentioned it when they released information about the new Tacoma awhile ago . One of the 2 magazines that tested the truck in last issues still mentioned it as being available at some point.
That would be a screamer of a truck now wouldn't it?
Looks like Toyota opened their mouths a little to soon when they made plans for the supercharger on the X-runner. I'd guess the bump in compression for the new 4L V6 doesnt make it boost friendly.

still nothing on this? would love to know before i go for an x runner.......
Do you really think they'd release this vehicle without a pressure option? (eventually), I'd guess its likely in the cards for '06, same with the NAV stuff and some other trickery I'm sure they are holding back on the '05's for whatever reasons.
All that suspension and braking and chassis upgrades for a truck that will be highly customizeable, yet the manufacturer themselves wouldn't be the first to tip their hat's in the ring with the most obvious (power adders) first? no way just doesen't make sense.
IHMO - they're waiting for Nissan to show their hand and in the interim, a little R&D can't hurt
Granted it is a high compression mill, but race gas isn't that expensive is it
The TRD tC Supercharger will fit all 2005 and 2006 tC’s
with both manual and automatic transmissions. The
supercharger kit part number is PTR01-21050-90. When
used on a n automatic transmission, a PTR01-21051 A/T
Fit Kit is also required. An ECU adapter tool 00602-17620. A
Supercharger kit to fit 2007 models will be available
later this year
I emailed toyota about it, and they told me that it should be ready by late
fall 07

I heard that 30 Superchargers were sold in the mainland and that Toyota also gave out brand new engines to those who blew them. I also heard that there is 1 person in Hawaii who has one. Oh yeah the helix throttle body spacer is great for fuel efficiencey and h.p. and also the AFE intake works so much better than KN. the only problem is the vibration of the metal heat sheild box.
