go to an auto parts store, get some throttle body cleaner, unclip the air box, unscrew the intake track from the throttle body. get some type of object to hold the butterfly open, or just have one hand hold it while the other hand wipes. take some of the cleaner and spray it on a paper towel. take towel and start cleaning away. it will most likley idle a little higher for a while, not a problem it will go away.

Do a search on this topic, because Alan posted detailed instructions with photos which I found very helpful when I performed this maintenance. It was pretty easy, just look around on TS and you should find his post.

I took mine straight off.

Disconnect intake
Disconnect top and bottom hose
Unbolt unit
With an old tooth brush, and throttle body cleaner, Scrub, scrub it shiny
I bought a new gasket at toyota, and re-assembled.

I did it this way because the truck had like 60k miles on it, also, I didn't like the idea of spraying the cleaner into the throttle body while attached to the plenum.
