Default Sound difference with JBA's??

I have a Spintech muffler with the stock piping and just bought ti-coated JBA's. What can I expect for a difference in sound with the headers installed? Do they make it louder or pretty much remain the same?

Not sure on the Spintech, but I have the TRD Dual exhaust with JBA stainless headers. There was a little "throatier" sound, but not much louder. I just installed the JBA Y-Pipe and the sound got deeper yet. I like the sound. Sounds like a V8 should

When I had just the JBA headers with stock muffler, it was throatier sounding, kind of like burbling. You can only hear it from the outside and not inside the truck so I wouldn't say it's any significantly louder.

Ditto. The exhaust sound is more distinct. IMO, with JBA's the sound is better than stock or just TRD duals. No y-pipe for me though, so I can't comment on that.

It will sound more tuned, slightly louder, but not much just by the diameter increase in tubing size.

Hey cleanb13,

I had my Spin Tech Sportsman Street on before my JBA headers. I loved the way it sounded when I heard my truck on the dyno. Beautiful after 3000rpms.
When I dyno'd again w/the headers, I was a little disappointed that the sound had mellowed out a bit. Don't get me wrong..... The ST's sound great. I get complimented by my neighbors all the time. I wouldn't worry about it. JB

I did not notice any difference in sound levels with my TRD duals or my stock exhaust with my SS Autochrome headers.
