Default First Mod Exhaust? what

my first mod i want is exhaust unless i should start with headers, im not sure if one needs to go on before the other. I was thinking about flowmaster 40 series 2 1/2 with a 3 in tip dual with one muffler. or Magnaflow same dual one muffler pack?

I have heard that the 40 series is very loud on the Tundra for some reason. I went with the 50 series and sounds great to me.

you may notice a horse power bump in the mid to upper rpm band but You'll lose some bottom end power. I definately lost some grunt at the bottom but I still love my exhaust...it's so damn loud and sounds great like a truck should sound! The stock exhaust is way way to quiet....
Do a flowmaster super 40 and eith dump it or dual it out the back it will sound great either way.

BTW....pretty much anything you do is going to make you're exhaust drone pretty bad on the interstate...but that too sounds pretty good. God, I love my exhaust.

Do a cat back exhaust first. Id do a single 3" system from the Y back if its an 03 and up or from the rear cat back if its an 02 and down. Go 40 series for loud, 50 series for medium, 70 series for quiet.

I run 3" from the Y back on my 04, eliminated the resonator with a Prostreet Spintech. Its loud, sets off car alarms, starts pulling at 3K RPM, takes off like a bat out of hell at 3500RPM!

Why do you want to go duals? Its more money, more weight

IMO, a 3" exhaust is way too big for the 4.7 liter. You will lose much of the low-end power.

my brother has a 3" exhaust on his Mustang with a 429 cobra jet motor.

I had a 2 1/2 inch system on my supercharged 5.0 Liter Cobra.

BIGGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.

Not flaming, just stating my opinion.

Too each their own. I like what I have.
