Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "40hp for $34.95", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I've already ordered 3...I'm going to put them in series and I'm expecting a 120HP increase. I'm expecting to run 1/4's in the 12 second range...
LOL. I'm sure this thing is just one expensive capacitor or something.
I would ask for dyno proof. Essentially these chips are just resistors that supposed to be installed at the MAF and trick the ECU into thinking that there is a different air mixture coming in. As a result of this (supposedly) it changes the fuel profile and provide better throttle response. I ask Helix for proof and the salesguy actually told me that the "spacer produces horsepower that is not shown on the dyno" Uh, yeah sure...send me two of them...
Combine this with a throttle body spacer and you might as well start picking drag races for pinks with the Tundra S/C community.
Upgrades: PA 3" Body Lift, Powertrax No-Slip rear, Detroit ezLocker front, Fabtech/Fox front, Wheeler's AALs, TC Front Diff Drop, 16 x 8 MB Wheels, 285/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs, Pioneer Head Unit, Infiniti Reference speakers [front and rear], 150 W bridged amp to bandpass enclosure, 6 CD changer with IR remote, iPod mini and xm hardwired into stereo, Toyota drop in bedliner, and Tonneau cover

Sorry if my post was not clear...I was being very sarcastic.
While there may be some easily installed products that can enhance the performance of some vehicles...many times these products on ebay are just scams.
