Default Redline gear oil

I'm going to change my diffs and transfer case over to redline 75w90 in my 04 tundra dc. Here come the questions guys.

1- For the guy's that are running this oil in there limited slip rear diffs. Is there enough friction modifer added to the gear oil already or did you have to add more to get away from chatter?

2- Since I have to order the oil I just want to double check my numbers for the amount I will need to change both diffs and transfercase. Does 6qts sound right?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Most GL5 gear oil today have anti-chatter, anti-slip, friction modifiers on them already. Peace of mind and heavier use, I still prefer to add more! Overtime, they do break down. Alot of users here will say the same thing. I do it for peace of mind. 6 quart is more than enough. 5 qts is more like it.

I didn't add any modifier to the redline oil and it seems to be just fine. I say try it and if there is a problem add the modifyer.

If too much LSD friction modifier is added you lose part of the LSD effect. If not enough is in the oil you get chattering. Don't add more unless you have chattering, then add a little at a time.

I used 4 quarts for the rear, 2 for the transfer case, and 2 for the front diff.

Default Gear Oil

I am also planning on changing gear oils. The owners manual calls for 75W90 for the diff but the only oil I can find in that weight is semi or full sinthetic. Will this make my rear axel seals leak or can I just use 80W90??? Thanks.

Smoother LSD lockup with Redline 75W90 than factory fill. No need to add more friction modifier.
