Default Borla over Aero Turbine

I ordered A Borla cat-back system and a Aero Turbine muffler knowing that I would give the muffler I did not choose to my son. The Aero was just a little to loud for me so I ended up with the Borla cat-back system and we took my Son's Dodge ram 1500 and had the Aero installed with a "Y" and two pipes out the back. I could not lose because both these muffler's are outstanding. I am very satisfied with the Borla. I don't feel I lost any torque. I really cannot tell a difference at the low end. The sound is very deep and sounds especially good on accellaration. It was a snap to bolt in. My son and I had the stock out and the cat-back installed in about one hour.

The Aero Turbine,I thought, Had a better tone than the Borla. It also sounded great at idle. Again, It was just a little loud for my taste's. My Son is tickled with it. He stood in the drive and had me drive back and forth by the house about 5 times so he could listen from the outside. It is a very impressive muffler. The guy that installed it at Muffler Master wanted to know where I bought it. I told Him and He got the website address off the box. There were three guys working and they all were really impressed with the Aero.

I don't have any regretts what so ever. I told my son I thought we both ended up with the right muffler. Thanks for all the feedback and opinions I got here at Tundra Solutions.

I also have the Borla catback and am very pleased with it. I haven't noticed any difference in low end torque. One nice thing about the Borla (and and most new mufflers), give it a few weeks and it will sound even better.

Thanks Matt,
It sounds really great now. What a bonus it will be if it gets better. I am very satisfied with this system. Sounds like you are too.

I went with the Borla Cat-back system.
