Default K&N filter for the Taco

Hello all. Does anyone know if there is a K&N air filter currently for the 05 Taco. If there is, has anyone put one in there new Taco and did you see or feel any differences? Thanks.

Yes they do make the for the taco, you can also use the one for the 03 4runner with the V6 4.0, I haven't got one on my truck but have had them before and really didn't fell a diffrence. Your stock AirFilter is proven to flow enough for your truck so I would leave it be. Just rememeber when you allow more flow you take a loss in filtering.

Default K&N Fliters

K&N offers both oil and air filters for the 05 Tacos. I have personally used their air filter before and am not sold on it again. too much work cleaning and perfectly re-oiling the damn thing. Stick with stock Toyota brand air filters, the k&Ns dont make hardly any difference in air flow. but for sure go for the K&N performance Gold Oil Filters, they provide 40% more metal collection supposedly

I have a X-Runner Rear "X" Brace for sale. I had a U-Haul hitch installed for towing the toys, no need for it anymore. Helped a lot with cornering, and ride stability before installing hitch. Will fit any 05-07 Tacoma.

K&N brand oil filters are made by Champion Laboratories who make many brands of oil filters of differning qualities...from Mobil 1 oil filters to Wal*Mart SuperTech oil filters. The K&N oil filters have average filtration, as told to my by Chamion Labs, a very sturdy case, and additional flow rate for modified engines with higher capacity oil pumps. The added flow rate is meaningless to stock oil pumps.
