Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Sorry dumb question! Do I have a LSD?", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I know if i sorted through the thousands of post already here i could find the answer but how do i tell if i have a limited slip? (short of burning rubber?)
As far as I know the SL and the TRD are two separate items on the window sticker and two separate letter codes, the TRD package does not include a LS. That being said, I don't know how many non-TRD trucks were built with the LS. All of the TRD trucks I saw when I bought my '03 Tundra had the limited slip also.

Would be very rare, the LSD was not available onthe 2001 until very late in the model year, became a generally available option for 2002. The TRD option did not include a LSD it was a seperate standalone option (option code LS)
