Default 4.7 vvt-i vs 05 Mustang 4.6

Found out the 05 Mustang 4.6 made the Ward's 10 Best Engines list.So I compared the power graphs between my 4.7 vvt-i and the 300hp 4.6.
The Toyota 4.7 has significantly more Torque up to 5000rpm where the Ford Torque is higher from 5000-6000rpm.
Same with horsepower, my 4.7 has more hp until 4500rpm where the 4.6 is stronger and gets to 300hp at 5750rpm.
I concluded that the 4.7 quite a bit stronger from idle to 5000rpm , and only the last 1000rpm the Ford is stronger.
Kind of surprised the 4.7 vvt-i didn't male the 10 best list.

Default 4.7L VVT-i Observations

I have not compared the two.... BUT.. I do have a 2001 Tundra 4.7L V8 S/C Blah blah blah... ANYWAY... My dad liked my truck SOOOO much he went and purchased a 2005 Tundra TRD Sportside SR5 with ALL the goodies. LSD, Swaybar, etc... SAME DAMN COLOR! He got black as well. So... he's so proud and all, I figured I would ask him if I could "swap" with him for a day or two and see what all the hullabalue is about. Let me tell ya. I am IMPRESSED. The VVT-i V8 pulls VERY smoothly and strong. The 5 speed auto tranny is buttery. It feels and acts like it could be a LOT stronger. It rode just like mine with the sway bar and the stiffer coils up front. It was nimble and "light footed" compared to my 4x4.. (his is a 2x4).
I was NOT able to squeel the tires at all. From a dead stop, it had that partial throttle thingie.. and that was not all that bad.. it, to me, made for a faster launch as I was not wasting rpm's on spinning tires. It was just my observations. At 80mph the tach read exactly 2500 rpm just like mine, so I am gathering Toyota added a LOWER 1st and pushed it up from there. I guess to get you rolling with less fuel faster. From idle to redline, it was smoother to me and pulled better. I could feel the VVT-i making adjustments to the powerband as it felt like it was getting stronger as the rpm's rose, and mine sorta... peaked and fell off in comparison.
In a nut shell.... I LIKE IT.. and DAMN does it look schweet! The new look and the smell of the new leather.. well.. I will be getting one.
Just my .02.. anyone else have 05 tales to tell?
