Default Engine RPM increase when hitting brakes...

Ok im not sure if this is in any way normal or not but i have noticed that my truck sometimes will rev up slighly when i am coming to a stop or slowing down while going slow, like 10-15 mph. It will go from say 900- 1200 or so by me only stepping on the brakes, Just a slight surge for a second and then it goes back down. I thought perhaps this was because of the transmission shifting from 2nd to 1st but i cant say i feel the tranny shifting and it wouldnt really make too much sesnse if you ask me.

I have cleaned the TB, new air filter, and checked the PCV recently and theyre all good to go. I did not replace the PCV but it seemed to function alright. The engine idles at about 5 or 600 when warm and runs great but i just cant for the life of me figure out if this behavior is normal or maybe theres something i need to check. Any ideas? Thanks

Nope. It doesnt do it all the time but it doesnt matter if its warm or cold either. All of the fluids and everything seem good. I really cant even begin to imagine what it is.
