Default 02 analyzer

Do not know if I am still allowed to post in the forum because I refused to pay for a membership. However, if y'all can read this please be advised of the following: I own a 2002 Tundra V8 with 18,000 miles on it. Last year when the truck was still under the basic warranty the engine check light came on. I brought it to the dealer and they said that it was an upstream 02 analyzer and replaced it under warranty. Shortly after this, I received a notification from the factory that my 02 analyzers were being covered under an extended 7 year 70,000 mile warranty because they were all thought to be defective. Last week the engine check light came on just after my time warranty ran out. I took the truck to the dealer who had replaced the 02 analyzer last year hoping it was the same problem. After warning me that they would charge me $80.00 for the computer analysis if they found something or nothing wrong that was not covered under warranty I let them do it. The service man came back in about a hour and advised that it was another 02 analyzer but that they were going to replace both exhaust manifolds and the two upstream analyzers as they were stripping the threads when they tried to remove the analyzers located in the exhaust manifold. The new manifolds were redesigned and had beefed up bosses for the 02 analyzers. This was all covered under the extended warranty and was being done on all Tundras covered by the extended warranty. Did not cost me a penny, in fact when they had the truck there they agreed that the seat belt retractors were defective and would also warranty replacements for them. They are going to put in new ones Monday. Just wanted to pass this information along in case someone may have a similar problem.

You got me Glenn.
I wondered what happened to my just a few minutes ago response to his post. At least I found the original or I'd have thought I was going nuts. I just happened to respond at a inopportune moment.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
