Post Is Mobil 10W30 good?

Okay here I want to know something more about that grade of oil...
Do you guys prefer the Mobil 10W30 grade of oil for your tundra or other brands?
My Classic Toyota carries the Mobil 10W30 and ever since I bought my truck there I've been using their Mobil 10W30 oil....I've thought of going to the Mobil Full Synthetic brand but I am no sure yet...its a little pricey....and not sure what is a great difference between the regular Mobil 10W30 and the Full Synthetic...
Thankyou for all your comments..

The difference between Mobil 10W-30 and Mobil 1 10W-30 is at least double the oil life.

All brands of oil are more alike that different these days of higher oil standards. Use any name brand.

Ken is right, whether you go dino or synth, both perform more than adequately.. oil technology has leapfrogged by leaps and bounds in the last decade.

If you'd like to double your drain interval like I do (going 10K between changes) to reduce the amount of time spent under the truck, use synthetic; I use Mobil1 10W30 and have just posted my most recent oil analysis on this board.

However, if like most people, you have a psychological barrier that prevents you from gaining a comfort level with change intervals beyond 3, 4 or 5K miles, certainly use conventional oil; using synth with shorter intervals is just a waste of money (unless there are other factors involved, like towing, excessive short trips, extreme low teperatures, etc.).

As for price, when using the interval I do, it's cheaper to use synthetic. Over 10K miles:
Synth - 6.5qts @ $4 and one filter $6 = $32.00
Dino - 13qts @ $1.79 and two filters @ $6 = $35.27
... and there's less used oil for recycling... a small way of reducing environmental hazards.

hey guys,

Okay I just called my Classic Toyota dealer and found out that they use Mobil 10w30....I thought it was Mobil 1 10w30 the whole time...
So Mobil 10w30 is the regular oil (dino) and Mobil 1 oil is Full Synthetic right? I've been using the Mobil 1 10w30 on my Supra turbo for the past 8 years...and for some reason I just didn't pay attention to the labels I've always thought there was only Mobil 1 oil the whole time but now I know that theres Mobil and Mobil 1...anybody say duuuhhh!!!! hehehe
Anyways I think I'll stick with the Mobil 10w30 for my Tundra...I don't do much towing anyways and don't mind changing oil every 3000 miles. My T3 only has 8,500 miles on it now and never know I might consider one day to go with Mobil 1 10w30.... thanks guys
