I am in an '05 AC 4x4 with a little over 2800 miles. From day one I have gotten better than expected MPG. Never put anything better than regular fuel (87) in the tank. I drive probably 60/40 hwy/cty...but get stuck in high traffic and run the AC due to the increasing temps (TX area). I am running at just under 18 MPG (17.75) for the last few fillups. The one highway trip I took was when the truck was brand new and I was driving back from the lot (bought in LA and drove it back to TX)......got 19.5 MPG.

I am impressed so far..but I do use the 2000 rule for the most part...mostly because I am just not as aggressive a driver as I used to be and am not in a major hurry to get anywhere...I just leave early enough to not have time a big factor.

Anyway, my experience.

Our 2005 Sequoia averages 13.5mpg with a mix of city and highway. The disappointing thing is that my wife drive's it most of the time and never really gets above 2000 RPM. The truck is much quicker than my old 2003 Tundra V8 4X4, so I'm not complaining.

The trip computer on my 05 sequoia has never been under 14 or over 14.4 mix driving....regular unleaded. At least a little better than my 5.7 Yukon.
