Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Valvoline Synthetic Grease", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I saw this at Advance Auto. I never used synthetic grease before. Is anyone here at TS using it? Is it any good? Can it be used to lubricate all zerk fittings on the Tundra 4X4.
Rather than having 2 grease guns with 2 different kinds of grease, I'm looking to find one exceptional grease to fit all needs. Will this grease meet that need?
Should do a fine job. The moly is needed for the double cardan joint, works very well for the driveshaft spline joint, and fine in the u-joints.

Yes, that is the exact stuff I saw at Advance Auto. They also had the non-synthetic and durablend grease by Valvoline. I think the synthetic was a dollar more than the durablend. I'm glad to hear it is good. I will be picking some up.
One gun and one grease is the way to go.i leaned that the hard way after i lubed the chassis using a somewhat broken gun so when you pull back the thiungamajiger it wouldnt lock into place.... so i made a big mess.. But i guess if everyone is using the synpower on all the fittings with good results i might have to do that next time
