Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Royal Purple synth gear oil", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Anyone ever use the Royal Purple synth gear oil? For some reason it is impossible to find Mobile 1 synth gear oil around here but I can get Royal Purple, Redline and Quakerstate with Royal Purple being the cheapest.
RP and Redline are very good. Quaker State is down the list. (I'm not a fan of RP engine oil...it seems to shear down to a lower viscosity before an oil of that price should. RP ATF is very good.)
