Default Anyone's 05 auto tranny do this?

I have 6,000 miles on my 05 AC V8 4x4 now, it has never done this before, but twice this week something strange has happened.

From a cold start (65 F) in the morning I back out of my driveway, put it in drive and drive away. normally it shifts from 1st to 2nd below 2,000 rpm. twice this week it has gotten up above 3,500 rpm with almost no throttle. if I let off the gas the truck slows down but stays in first gear. at a very light throttle once it gets to almost 4,000 rpm it shifts into 2nd, then 3rd immediately.

It only does this one time per day, and has happened two of the last 4 days.

There has not been a check engine light or anything obvious.

When my truck is cold it shifts a little harder than normal but thats normal. I take it this goes away once the truck is warmed up? I would do a quick check of fluids and all that jazz just to be sure but other than that it doesnt sound like anything but maybe a cold morning jitter. 6000 miles = take it in and have the dealer check it out!

Default Mine does!

I have a 05 with 3000 mi. It does exactly as you describe, but not all the time. Once or maybe twice a week as I recall and only in the morning as I drive away. Very annoying.

My truck has never had this problem, it always shifts smooth first thing in the morning. I have approx 2800kms on it now. When I first got my truck about a month ago there were a few mornings that were around -17C and still no problem. I would definitely have the dealer check it out.
