Default cv boot mod question

what is the purpose of doing this mood, the cj joint boots already have clamps on the ends, so why replace them with radiation type clamps? also when it says to put 2 clamps on one end, do you put the clamp over the clamp or right next to it?

The picture dosent help that much.

Some boots leak. The OEM clamp works well as long as the tech tightens it all the way down.

The hose claps go side by side to catch the ridges of the boot.
