If you're looking on ebay...stop right now!

The only company making one right now is Unichip. It's the only "good" one I know of. Chips are worthless by themselves though, but if you have a build engine with bigger injectors and need a better air/fuel ratio them a chip would be a good investment.

A chip will probably void your engine warranty.

Thats true all the chips that are on ebay and doesn't say UNICHIP on them than those chips are nothing but spam and will void your warranty....

There is also an JET Performance Product computer chip that will work for most Toyotas but I've never installed it so I don't know its experience. I'd recommend UNICHIP because its safe and easy installation and I know its experience. The only downsize is its price if you're willing to spend $900 -$1,000 on it....Unichip, Jba Headers, TRD supercharger all together (priceless)

How much performance gain is actually attained with these chips? I mean measured, not what the advertising hype says. I know from experience that the chips work wonders on diesels. But diesels are much easier to modify and add power since they are such simple designs. Add more air or fuel to get more power.
