Default True Duals

Ok I know this has been beat to death...but I went to the muffler shop in State College, Pa last week and here is what we came up with....Get rid of the Y-pipe altogether....run 2 pipes parallel underneath the passenger side. Under the passenger seat would be two single inlet, single outlet 40 series flowmasters running 2 1/4 inch tubing. I want to keep the pipes small in order to keep low end torque. After the mufflers the passenger side pipe will go straight back and bend behind the tire...the drivers side will go around the spare and bend behind the tire, so basically it is similar to the bassani set up with dual side outlets. Now for the price...approx $420 for aluminized pipes minus the two mufflers which i can get shipped for about 130....so 550 total. Wondering if anyone has a setup closely resembling this and how effective it would be without some sort of crossover.

Thanks,

How about an X-type crossover? Lots of folks make them, and claim that they're a good addition.
