Default Auto Start?

I seem to remember reading a thread here about how the Tundra will continue to try to start even if you release the key. I'd never experienced that before until Saturday. It was in the low 30's and moist. I turned the key and it didn't immediately start so I backed off the key. The starter kept turning for a few seconds until it started. I've never experienced that before.

Nope it is on the 03s as well. Mine does that. It was very hard to get used to just bumping the key one time and letting go. I finally adjusted.

Only problem is when I get into my wifes van I just nudge the key expecting it to start and it doesn't. LOL

I wonder what's the reason for it to periodically have a hard start. I'd never experienced that before with this '03 and never on my '01 (if it even had that 'feature').
