Default Exhaust smells coming into cabin

Hi,
I have a lot of exhaust smells coming into the cabin of my truck when I'm even marginally close to another vehicle. Stopped at stop lights, even following at 100'. Has this happened to anyone else? I've thought about trying to put charcoal filters on the inlet, but that sounds really difficult. I'm wondering if installing a bug/wind deflector would direct the air over the intake grates?

Any thoughts or solutions?

Thanks,
Don

Huh, would one of those Toyota cabin filters help or do you think the fumes get in from other places and not the cabin air intake area for the vents?

I haven't had this problem but I am curious to hear what you think.

This has only happened in your Tundra?

Default Smells

Fallclassic02 Thanks for your reply.

My Tundra is an 02, and I don't believe the cabin air filters are available for my model year. The smells are definately coming through the fresh air intake.

I thought they were basically universal. Maybe not but they must make one for your truck, Toyota wants your money!

behind the rear seat back on each side are the rubber flap housing to vent cabin air. It's a pain to access, but inspect. I've seen a few rubber flappers fall off or make noise down the highway. Other than the fresh air hvac intake, there aren't any other mystery ports
