The manual says re-torgue the propeller shaft bolt, is it actually one bolt or all the bolts?

They want you do check all the bolts.

As a tip, after you torque them (check), mark the bolts and nuts with a yellow marking pen (not magic marker, of course - permanent) so that you can see if the bolts/nuts move at all. That way when you grease the axle, you can do a visual check and make sure the none of your nuts are moving (loosening).

Actually, it's a good idea to run through and check and mark the other nuts too on the frame/suspension from time to time. They don't usually come loose, but they do come loose.

I had a frame bolt come loose on another vehicle (Ford "Exploder") and it made a slamming sound when you backed up the vehicle (actually changed direction, didn't matter which way you were heading intitially).

On the 4wd only, two center support bearing bolts @ 30 ft-lbs, & sixteen flange yoke bolts @ 54 ft-lbs.

Default yeh but...

I know I'm being picky here but there are also 4 companion flange bolts. Shouldn't they be retorqued also. For all intensive purposes they act the same as the flange yoke?

As far as the 16 flange yoke and 2 center support bearing bolts, I have read the info in the garage and completely agree.

But is there a reason they do not include the 4 bolts on the companion flange to be retorqued? It would bring the total to 16, 2, and 4. No big deal, I just thought it was strange that the service notes did not include them.

Cappi - you are right, I miscounted when I built the page - there are a total of 22 bolts. I will updated the page.
