I just had the JBA headers installed and am trying to figure out what type of cat back exaust system to go with. I would love it to be a bit more ferocious sounding but not like the neighbours teenagers Mustang.

I would recommend a system like I have. It's loud enough but not annoying-IMHO.

I had the Y replaced and everything from there on back (except the third cat, the shop opened up the inlet and outlet of that to accomodate the 3" pipe). The muffler is a single in single out Flowmaster 70 series.

Check out my pics if you're interested. I have a nice 3.8MB avi of me reving the engine also if you're interested.

I have TRD duals. They look sweet and they sound great. I would liken the sound (and noise) to the Mustang GT. It is not overly loud, but you know it is there. I dont even notice it on the freeway. You can look at my pics if you want to see them.

Bugdog,

I have the Borla system on my 2001. It is a little louder than the TRD but not to loud. The only time that I really notice it in the truck is when I tow something. Everyone who has heard my truck says it sounds great. The amazing thing is my wife has not noticed, so I haven't told her that I put it on.

John
