Default 05 AC V8 Oil Change

I just had my first oil change on my 05 Tundra. It only has 3000 miles on it, but it's been 8 months since I bought it, so an oil change is due. I decided to use the fully synthetic Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10W30 oil. This oil is suppose to last for one year or 15K miles, whichever comes first. I had the oil change done at the dealer, and provided only the motor oil. I use to do my own oil changes but with my busy schedule at work and home, it is too much hastle and work for me to DIY it. And it doesn't cost much to have it done. The only benefit of me not doing it is the more care and time put into it. But anyway, I provided 7 quarts of oil and the mechanic put all 7 quarts of it into the motor. The manual says 6.2 qts, and I have read here that most of you put 6.5-7 quarts of oil. I was just wondering if 7 quarts is ok, and has worked fine for most of you. The oil on the dipstick is so clear that it's kind of hard to be super accurate. But it looks like it is either exactly on the top full line or dot, or it is just a tad above it. Everything seems and runs normal though. My oil pressure is a bit higher now probably due to the heavier oil weight.

Put a Fumoto drain valve on the oil drain nut (do a search on google) when you get to the next oil change.

I would not worry about the extra 0.3 quarts of oil. Should be fine.

The Fumoto drain valve makes oil changes MUCH easier.

I second that one. I just changed my oil this weekend using the Fumoto for the first time. Draining the oil was painless. I didn't have to crawl under the truck. You can just reach up from the front. Changing the filter is the pain. I've tried everything from baby diapers to 2 liter bottles, milk jugs cut down etc... It still sucks getting that filter off without spilling some oil on the skid plate. Not all the dealers remove the plate when they change the oil and my dealer spilled oil on the valve cover the first time I let them do it. I'll do it myself even if the filter is a pain.
