Has anyone tested to see if the Super Plug will screw all the way in to the oil pan with the sealing gasket removed to ensure the threads don't bottom out before the plug is properly seated?
I'll check this out when I do my first oil change, but would like to know what to expect before I do the oil change. I'll be disappointed if the plug can't be used.

Well, I did my first oil change at 1000 miles and had a chance to fit check the Super Plug. It did screw all the way in by hand with the sealing washer removed, so there is no worry about the threads binding before the gasket is fully crushed.
I also noticed that the sealing washer on the drain plug from the factory is aluminum with a thin rubber coating on each side. You can see the aluminum edge of the washer. Strange, because the drain plug gaskets from the dealer are 100% black fibrous material. Wonder why the one from the factory is different?
